I had my seminar last week (Tuesday the 8th) and would like to reflect on how it went and how some of the feedback/questions will impact the future direction of this project.

Firstly, despite being a bit nervous beforehand I think it went very well. I covered everything I wanted to, and didn’t have any issues with the timing of it.

The main this that was lacking was some sort of contingency plan. This was mentioned when we where discussing the feature set I had proposed (both the core and the more interesting/unique/innovative features) and they where concerned I was taking on too much, which would result in either a half finished project, with lots of reasonable features, but nothing special. So they suggested I focused on the more innovative features instead of some of the more standard ones.

As a result, I will be trimming the standard features over the coming weeks (such as only having one interface for time entry or droping support for dependencies in tasks) to allow me to focus on the more innovative aspects.

Another point raised was that I need to reflect on the process and results throughout the project (hence the introduction of this new section)
